Kids Like Me Can Dream Too

Annalisa is an Italian-born dancer whose journey in movement began after relocating to Florence at a young age. With roots in hip-hop, she expanded her artistry by exploring styles like popping, capoeira, and contemporary dance, ultimately crafting her own unique movement language—one that fuses precision, fluidity, and raw expression. Now based between Amsterdam and Paris, Annalisa embraces a boundaryless artistic vision, seamlessly moving between dance, film, acting, and styling. She is also the co-founder of Anathia, a new creative collective dedicated to pushing artistic expression beyond conventional limits. Constantly evolving, she continues to explore new forms of storytelling through movement and multidisciplinary creation.

This short film was created to inspire children from all backgrounds, particularly those facing challenging circumstances. Drawing from her own experiences, she understands the feeling of being limited by one’s reality.

This film delivers a powerful message to young viewers: their struggles are shaping them into the individuals they are meant to become, and their dreams are achievable. Through the voices of those with similar journeys, the film highlights the importance of resilience, hope, and the courage to pursue one’s aspirations.

This short film will premiere at the @eye_film in Amsterdam on February 8th at 17:00. Get your tickets through the link in the description
